Thousands of Brent children will continue to benefit from inspiring learning opportunities at Wembley Stadium following the relaunch of the Learning Zone programme.
Guests gathered on 1 October to celebrate the next chapter of the programme, which gives local pupils the chance to bring classroom learning to life through unique experiences at the national stadium.
The Learning Zone is a fully funded partnership project between Brent Council, the FA, and the Wembley Stadium Foundation, offering free of charge creative workshops for Brent maintained primary schools and SEN schools. The project was launched with an aim to provide all Brent children with an inspiring visit to the stadium outside of their typical learning environments. Through workshops in subjects including music, drama, geography and history, pupils can explore new interests and develop their skills and aspirations in the heart of Wembley, with every visit also including a tour of the stadium.
Between January and May 2026, more than 2,500 Brent primary school pupils took part in Learning Zone sessions.
Alongside celebrating the impact that the programme is already having on young people in Brent, attendees also saw the unveiling of a new mural created by local student Man Bhatt as part of the Learning Zone refurbishment. Developed through community engagement activities, the artwork reflects what Wembley means to local people and celebrates the connection between the stadium and the surrounding community.
The event also featured a performance from the Brent Music Service Youth Voices Choir and a special Q&A session with former England international Rachel Yankey OBE. Reflecting on her journey from Brent schoolgirl to one of England's most celebrated footballers, she spoke about the importance of ambition and equal access to opportunities.
