Brent Council spends approximately £659m per year across its supplier base to support its various activities, from keeping the streets clean, to providing care and support for our most vulnerable to building and creating new affordable housing for residents in the heart of our communities.
All buying is done through fair and transparent procurement processes to ensure the best outcomes for Brent’s residents. This is about getting value for money and saving money where possible. But it’s also about making sure that the money Brent Council supports the creation and retention of local jobs and enables the council to deliver good social and environmental outcomes. All suppliers are treated equally and assessed on the merits of their tender submissions. Working with us may provide relevant experience to then enable you to go on to work with other public sector organisations, providing a foothold into new markets.
Smaller value contracts are generally managed by individual departments and larger value contracts are generally managed by the Procurement team.
