123 new homes mark major milestone for South Kilburn

South Kilburn has reached a major housing milestone with the completion of 123 new homes at Peel, a development combining housing with healthcare facilities, workspace and a public square.

The final phase brings the total number of homes delivered across the scheme to 328. It includes seven family-sized, wheelchair-accessible homes for social rent, alongside 30 Shared Ownership homes and 86 homes for open market sale.

“

Peel brings together homes, healthcare, space for local businesses and a public square. It’s about creating a neighbourhood where people can live, work and come together.

Developed by Countryside in partnership with Home Group and Brent Council, Peel forms part of the wider South Kilburn regeneration programme. Construction began in December 2019, with homes and community facilities delivered in stages.

The project is about more than housing. It also includes the new Kilburn Park Medical Centre, affordable workspace for local businesses and Peel Plaza, a public square at the heart of the development.

The medical centre provides a purpose-built healthcare hub for the neighbourhood, while completed workspace units are already being used by small businesses offering services to the local community.

Peel Plaza has already hosted community events and celebrations, including seasonal activities bringing residents together for food, music, local shopping and family activities. These facilities sit alongside the new homes, making Peel a place for people to live, work and meet.

The completion of the final housing phase marks another step in South Kilburn’s regeneration, which combines new homes with improved public spaces and facilities for the community. Peel forms part of Brent Council's award-winning South Kilburn Regeneration Programme, one of London's largest estate regeneration programmes.
