Young people across Brent received their GCSE results today, marking the end of months of hard work and revision.

Provisional outcomes for young people attending Brent schools continue to be positive, with students celebrating their achievements after another successful Results Day.

“

I want to congratulate every young person receiving their GCSE results today and recognise the hard work, determination and commitment that has brought them to this point.

Councillor Jake Rubin, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, Employment & Climate Action, said: “I want to congratulate every young person receiving their GCSE results today and recognise the hard work, determination and commitment that has brought them to this point. I also want to thank our schools, teachers, parents and carers for the support they have given students along the way. The high quality of education in Brent schools means young people in our borough have strong foundations to build on as they take their next steps.

“Whether you are continuing into sixth form or college, starting an apprenticeship, going into training or exploring other opportunities, there is support available to help you find your next step. Whatever happens today, be proud of how far you have come and look forward to what comes next.”

GCSE Results Day is an important milestone, opening up choices about sixth form, college, apprenticeships, training and other pathways. For students considering their next steps, the Wembley Jobs Fair offers an opportunity to meet employers and explore local employment, training and apprenticeship opportunities. The event takes place on Tuesday 15 September, from 10am to 4pm at Wembley Stadium, and registration for free tickets is now open.
