Ahmed joined BHM as a volunteer Community Champion in May 2022, before being employed as a Community Coordinator in September 2023. Ahmed works in the Harlesden area, where he applies his local knowledge to ensure healthcare is accessible to diverse communities.

Before joining BHM, Ahmen was already a volunteer at the Al Saddiiq Cultural Centre, and with ties to Brent's Somali and Syrian communities, Ahmed has been instrumental in helping BHM co-produce health and wellbeing events in those communities to help address issues such as social isolation and bereavement.
